AWANA
Awana Clubs at Sagamore Baptist Church focus on providing Bible-based evangelism and discipleship for kids at every stage, with kids as young as preschool through teens in high school. Awana gives children the opportunity to know and love God no matter their background.
Our Awana Clubs meet on Wednesdays, from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm.
Cubbies (3 Years - PreK)
In Cubbies, kids learn basic truths about God, Jesus, and salvation through fun handbooks, picture teaching cards, and more. Cubbies is a welcoming space for kids to learn and grow.
The Cubbies curriculum features two handbooks (AppleSeed and HoneyComb) that combine basic Scripture memory with parent-child activities to help Cubbies grasp simple biblical truths.
Sparks (Kindergarten - 2nd grade)
In Sparks, kids learn about exciting people from the Bible. Sparkies grow in their faith through fun group lessons, discipleship activities, and awards.
Sparks are divided into three years, each with a handbook (HangGlider, WingRunner and SkyStormer). Each handbook builds a foundation of biblical wisdom through memory verse drills, crafts, activities and review of key doctrine and Bible facts. Before working through the first handbook (HangGlider) all newcomers to Sparks will complete an entrance booklet (Flight 3:16) that centers on the Gospel message of John 3:16.
T&T (3rd Grade - 6th Grade)
In T&T, preteens learn more about God, the Bible, Jesus, and life application of Scripture.
T&T's distinct curriculum is designed to help kids stay plugged into God's Word as they move into the preteen years and continue growing in their relationship with Christ. Each of the four handbooks (Grace in Action, Agents of Grace, Discovery of Grace, and Evidence of Grace) answer four questions about God and the Bible that are frequently asked by clubbers this age. Clubbers learn eight answers to each of these questions along with verses to back up these answers. The handbooks include Bible studies and activities that allow children to go deeper into the subject matter.
Trek (Junior High School)
Trek middle schoolers complete Bible studies and join in powerful small group conversations to answer important Spiritual questions.
Trek curriculum is divided into three handbooks, His Story, His Love, and His People. The Trek books challenge students to wrestle with the three most important questions they're asking in middle school: "Who am I?", "Why am I here?", and "Who's with me?"
By allowing students to dive deep into the Scriptures and answer these questions for themselves we allow them to own their faith and discover what they actually believe.
Journey (High School)
In Journey, teens will participate in Bible studies, learn memory verses, and have great discussions on how to live out their faith in the world around them.
Through Journey high school students are established as lifelong disciples through a deep study of God's Word, mobilizing them to live with a godly perspective and evident faith.
