Wednesday evenings from 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm for midweek Bible classes, designed to grow you in your Christian walk. Kids and Student Ministry happens simultaneously each week.


Our Fall 2023 Sagamore Institute will Kick-Off on August 23rd. 


The following are class descriptions for the classes that was offered this Fall 2023 semester.



FALL 2023 CLASSES —


Defending the Faith: The Case for Christ & Reliability of Scripture – Richlon Merrill | Room A100

We live in a culture saturated by arguments against the certainty of God and His revelation to us. in this apologetics study you will be equipped with the tools and resources to defend that which Scripture claims to be—the revealed and inspired Word of god. You will gain more confidence in knowing how to counter objections to the message of the Gospel while also affirming the reliability of Scripture, to counter objections to the message of the Gospel, and the reliability of the Scripture.

 

A Survey of Systematic Theology – Dr. Charlie Martin | Room A200

This class will examine the major categories of systematic theology both grounded in and derived from the Bible. Class handouts will be provided, including charts of some significant systematic theologians and their contributions. No textbook is required.


Baptist Faith & Message – Pastor Denny Gorena | Room A300

We will discover what we as Southern Baptists believe and with comparisons to the 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith.


Making Life Disciples – Pastor Teddy King | Room A400

This class will equip the church to offer COMPASSION, HOPE, HELP, and DISCIPLESHIP to women and men considering abortion.


English as a Second Language – Betty Smith & Janet Walker | Room A500

This class is for those who are needing to learn English. This is a great way to help others in learning the language most spoken here.


Epistle to the Ephesians – Dr. Ken Cooper | Room A600

This class will consist of an in-depth exegetical study of Paul’s Epistle to the Ephesians. Class participants will examine the theological content of the letter to learn what Paul reveals about God, His character, His church, as well as offenses against God—in other words sin. The study will include an overview of the history of Ephesus, as well as a review of Paul’s visits there as recorded in the Acts of the Apostles.


Bible Summary: 1 & 2 Kings – Jan McKenna | Room WC100 Music Rehearsal

the Bible Summary Class will continue the journey through the Bible by studying First and Second Kings. A brief review of Genesis-Second Samuel will set the stage.
